Mismarked Transmission Dipstick:

Just wanted to check with a few other owners with different year vehicles to see if they too have a mismarked transmission dipstick before opening up a can of worms with the HML and AM General.

While the manuals indicate that the 4L80E transmission requires Dexron III, the dipstick has stamped on it "DEXRON IIE ONLY" along with part number 6003865.

Please check your vehicles, and let me know if this is the case with your vehicles too, or if mine just appears to be an isolated case.

Tim and I checked mine last night. It is wrong also.

Put me in the DEXRON IIE ONLY column.
