Removal of Roll Pins on Shift Selector:

To remove them you need a parallel punch and a hammer plus a block of wood with a small hole drilled in it, to support the lever while you hammer away.

You can remove them in either direction, but toward the doghouse will be easiest. Place the block of wood against the knob and position it to allow the roll pin to enter the hole. Use a punch that's slightly smaller than the roll pin, and gently tap the pin through the knob. Three hands will make the job easier!
