Injection Pump Timing:

There is a mark on your injection pump and a mark on the block. Where the two meet at the very top near the center bolt, these marks should line up. You may have to wipe off the crud to see the marks. To retard it, turn the injection pump towards the passenger's side. To advance, turn towards the driver's side. You will need to loosen the 3 bolts first, I belive they are 15MM. Do NOT adjust this with the engine running, I have heard this can damage the injection pump. It needs to be tight when running, and can only be loose when the engine is off.
