HMMWV Fuel Tank Access Cover:

COVER LOCATION

The 2 images below show the location of the coverplate on a HMMWV floor. (click on image to enlarge) The width was taken from the edge of the tunnel top panel not the tunnel side.

The length dimension is taken from the outside surface of the rear "D" beam that the tailgate hinges on.

The actual opening size is 5" X 7" but you may want to adjust it larger for additional clearance to remove the sender. You will be cutting between two crossmembers so start small. NB. The tank is close to the floor (approximately .75").
