Bad Batches of PMDs:

There have been many batches of bad PMD's running around.

Your best bet - look for these numbers:

34264 - This is a second generation PMD that is (strange but true) preferred by Stanadyne techs - they work, or they don't.

34583 - third generation PMD. This has had bad batches before.

You want a PMD that is 3458305xxxxxx or 3458306xxxxxx. Anything prior will be suspect.

A PMD with a serial number of 345830505146 denotes the following:

34583 (model)0505 (May 2005 build) xxxx (build day/run)

So, you basically want a serial number that shows the PMD was built in 2005 or 2006.
