Thanks to Mark Doucette, Dave Loper
For each color, I've listed the first and last model years in which that
color was used here at the plant. In many cases the first year
may have been only a 1-truck pilot, but I've listed it anyway.
Just for fun, I've also listed the total number of vehicles built
with a given color for the ones that are no longer in production.
As you can see, my numbering scheme isn't that complicated. The
letter indicates the color and the numbers I assign
sequentially. If the first letter of a color is already taken
(ie B=Black) I use the next one (L=bLue).

Just a quick note on my continuing paint saga.
I found a great # to call for AMG paint code cross reference.
PPG has a help line, 1-800-245-2590, ask for the "Color Library" they can
lookup just about any PPG code and cross reference it to something else,
ie, GM
For example, my "High Gloss Royal Blue Metallic", AMG code L12 is actually
PPG Code DCC19629, however, AM General sent me mail [Hi Walter ;)] that
pegged the code as DCC4251, well PPG says they are the same and quivelent
to "Dark Blue Metallic '90-'95" a GM color with a GM reference # 47/WA9095
Seems that almost all the PPG colors for AMG were GM at one time or
another.
Hope this info helps.
